As another season of hope looks to b heeding towards a desperate fight to avoid relegation, Martin Jol has lamented the loss of Clint Dempsey.

Demspey who jumped ship in the summer and ended up at Spurs, was somebody who scored more than his fair share of goals for us, some of them being vital.

Speaking about coping without Dempsey, as we prepare to face Norwich City at Carrow Road this afternoon, Martin Jol has remarked to the media,

“We miss his goals from midfield. He was not one who ought to have supplied us with all the goals but he did over the last two or three years.”

“Can you imagine the scenario if Clint hadn`t been here over those years?”

“If he had stayed I think yes we would have been in the top 10. Now the aim is to stay in the Premier League.”

Well that`s certainly food for thought!
