Our fears relating to Clint Dempsey leaving; continue to gather pace with yet another comment, appearing; in the press this morning, a comment that infers that his future does lie elsewhere.
Now we readily accept that a player of Clint`s pedigree has the urge to play Champions League football, but the thought of our side slowly being torn apart with Clint leaving, Dembele rumoured to be on his way out and also AJ leaving is hard to bear.
But returning to that quote that has once again unsettled us, Clint has commented,
“The transfer window is open until August 31. It`s no secret I would like to play Champions League one day in my career.”
So whilst Clint may start the new season with us, don`t be too surprised if he`s off to pastures new come September.
