Pulling on the famous green shirt of Northern Ireland again, at the Euro 2016 finals, in France, has worked wonders for our former defender Aaron Hughes.

Now thirty-six years of age, Hughes, prior to the aforementioned tournament, was without a club.

But the manner in which Northern Ireland conducted themselves and battled away put those players who were without contracts back in the shop window.

Following the conclusion of Northern Ireland`s interest in the tournament, Hughes had offers to remain in the UK with the League One sides of MK Dons and Oldham keen to acquire the services of the ageing but solid defender.

However, now in the swansong of his career Hughes has decided to reject the offers from the aforementioned clubs and will, instead, make the move out to Asia where he has signed a contract to play for the Indian Super League club Keral Blasters

Here at Vital Fulham we sincerely hope that Aaron, who gave many years of good service to Fulham Football Club, has a blast.

Good luck Aaron from all at Vital Fulham!
