It appears that our status as a Championship club, and one that has struggled this season, could be affecting our ability to hang on to another of our promising youngsters.

Although, back in the January transfer window, Fulham held of the advances of Tottenham Hotspur when it came to the North London club signing Moussa Dembele, it is quite possible that Fulham have simply delayed the inevitable, with it expected that Dembele will leave Craven Cottage this summer.

This morning, one of the leading tabloid publications this country produces, The Sun, is suggesting that Fulham face a fight to hang on to Emerson Hyndman.

The midfielder, just nineteen and heralding from the US, is out of contract this summer and our source is suggesting that several Premier League clubs are monitoring his progress closely.

The battle to keep the youngster looks to be an impossible one when it is also reported that Emerson is reticent to sign a new contract at Craven Cottage once his current deal comes to a conclusion.

We`ll endeavour to keep abreast of the situation and provide updates when required.
