It seems I jumped the gun.
Antti Niemi’s agent has rubbished reports linking the Finn to Hull City, but has stated he is ready to quit Fulham.
Niemi acknowledges that his time at Craven Cottage is all but over after the signing of Mark Schwarzer from Middlesbrough.
‘Antti will be looking for another club, he is not going to play understudy to anyone at this stage of his career’
‘We are now discussing the situation to see what the best solution for Antti will be.
‘The thing for us now is that we have to hope that Fulham will be reasonable.
‘Antti has loved his time at Fulham, the fans have always been fantastic with him – but he wants and needs to be playing.’
Where will he go? A drop down to the Championship I guess.
