Hull – Looking Ahead!

Some scintillating facts we’ve uncovered ahead of our trip to Hully City, on Saturday!

Saturday sees us start our eighth consecutive Premier League campaign after securing our status by virtue of goal difference thanks to that 1-0 win at Fratton Park.

That 1-0 win ensured we’ve remained uneaten away from home since March 22nd when we lost to Newcastle. A fourth successive win would set a new Premier League record for us, who’d have thought that was possible back in the dark old days when we couldn’t win on the road for love or money?

Sadly, for those who like to start a new season with a home fixture, this is the third time on the trot we’ve been asked to start our campaign away from home. Our trip to the KC Stadium follows previous trips to Old Trafford and the Emirates Stadium.

Those interested in previous matches with Hull City may like to know that the last time Hull beat us at their ground was some twenty-three years ago on 9th November 1985 when we were humbled 5-0.

As for our last meeting, Fulham won both games without Hull scoring a single goal, this time in 1996-1997 when both clubs were in the bottom tier.

How times change!
