Aaron Hughes has insisted that he is not looking to leave Fulham at the end of the season if we were to go down.

Hughes has been a regular with both Sanchez and Hodgson. He is still in his first season here he has already been given the captains armband during the absence of McBride.

Following some reports that he was to jump ship at the end of the season Hughes told the official site:

‘I signed a two-and-a-half year deal with Fulham last summer and my commitment to the Club remains as strong as ever, my family is settled and I am happy here,’ Hughes told fulhamfc.com.

‘Whilst I am disappointed by our current league position, I am enjoying being at Fulham and hope to be playing Premier League football at Craven Cottage next season.’

‘We are fighting together as a team to secure the Club’s future and whilst my team mates are well aware of my commitment to the Club, I felt it necessary to reassure the fans following today’s inaccurate speculation surrounding my future.’

‘It’s vital that the players, staff and supporters stick together at this stage of the season. We have a massive game against Derby on Saturday and I can guarantee that I will be giving 100% to the Club’s cause, as I always do.’
