The grapevine suggests that a potential transfer target for Fulham in the summer is the Spurs midfielder, Tom Huddlestone.

Huddlestone perfectly fits the profile of those we`d like to see purchased with him filling the young and talented category adequately.

Also, the strapping lad appears to be out of favour at Spurs with him remarking about his relationship with Harry Redknapp,

‘It’s been very frustrating,’

‘I’m not really sure where I stand because the manager hasn’t really spoken to me.”

‘So I don’t know what my situation is. I have four years left at the end of this season. But I don’t know if I will be sold because things change quickly.’

Would Huddlestone be a good target and if so what do you believe is the maximum fee Fulham should pay Spurs for his services?

It might help to bear in mind when answering the fee portion of the question that Aston Villa are also lurking waiting to pounce.

We await your responses.

  • would be an astute purchase….i would pay 6-7 million for his services….but it would take a lot of persuading to go to 7. 😀

  • It would be a very astute purchase. I think 6 million is reasonable. For that kind of money, he’d start (surely). Would he replace Etuhu or Murphy? Logic would hold for him replacing Etuhu, but would you want him in a defensive midfield role? Hate to say it, but he’d be a more natural replacement for Murphy.

  • i would see him as a defensive midfielder to be honest….he is a rock and a bit of a nutter at times :D:D he is a big-built player too, which will come in very handy. in fact i would say he is quite similar to etuhu, just a little bit more consistent, and younger. i wouldn’t really say he was an attacking minded midfielder, so for me he would replace etuhu. :D:D

  • I know he’s been used in more of defensive role at Spurs. I just wonder if that’s the ideal place for him. Frankly, I’ve been impressed with attacking ability, not so much his defense. Still, he is built more for a defensive role. A welcome addition regardless of where he might play. Hope it happens.

  • i definitely liked what i’ve seen of him, if he has been a bit underused over there. wouldn’t mind him coming. it’ll be tough to keep him off the england u-21 squad (aka aston villa)

  • still gutted we didnt get him in january – would be an awesome addition to the squad. Heard that he tends to get quite lazy though so our hard-working ethics could get the best out of him

  • he would be good buy at bout 6,he can score goals too,,im pretty sure he has scored against us before, good age aswell,,we should forget bout these 30plus players
