Real Madrid pair Wesley Sneijder and Arjen Robben scored the goals to give Holland a 2-0 victory over Wales today in Rotterdam.

The game was the Dutch team`s last game before they meet Italy next week and also saw Edwin Van Der Sar complete his last game for the Oranje in his home country.

The Dutch completely dominated the game and at one point the Dutch had 25 attempts at goal to Wales’ 3. It is this fact that is worrying head coach Marco Van Basten (legend!)

He said after the game, ‘If you saw today how many chances we made, you must think that we should have scored more’

‘But we have an interesting team that can progress. With the wind in our favour we can go far, but against us we could end in round one’

I was very pleased with the performance of the Dutch and one player who really stood out (appart from Robben, Sneijder, Van Der Vaart, Affelay and De Jong) was Orlando Engelaar; the 6 foot 5 midfielder showed some fantastic passing play and superb control. The 28-year old currently plays for FC Twente (where we got Collins John from) and I believe we could have a serious chance of getting him to the cottage. Engelaar can play anywhere in the centre of midfield or on the left wing. Keep an eye out for him Roy!!
