In many ways it could be viewed as a point gained rather than two lost but in our predicament, time is fast running out.

It always hurts to concede goals, especially when the threat of relegation is looming, however, it hurts even more when there is a doubt about there legality.

In his customary post match interview, it was a point that Roy Hodgson was not prepared to ignore, this is what he had too say,

“On balance we could have won the game, and if you look at their goal we actually did.”

“You don`t have to put words into my mouth, watch the images and you decide.”

“Our right-back was pulled to the ground to give Pedersen a free header and you`ll see that on television.”

“It was a really savage blow and the players could have been forgiven for dropping their heads.”

“Once again we have been the subject of an injustice but we kept going and created enough chances for the equaliser.”

“I`m satisfied with that but I would have been more satisfied with three points.”

Once again Lady Luck was occupied elsewhere casting her eyes on Old Trafford and Oakwell.
