After leaving Fulham to join Sunderland and bleating on about how he`d be looking forward to life in the north-east, David Healy was in for a bit of a shock today.

He wasn`t afforded a first team starting place but had to be content with a place on the bench as Sunderland pulled off a surprise 2-1 win at White Hart Lane.

Should have stayed at Fulham mate!

  • I think that it’s obvious how to make him brilliant in the PL. Let him play with a Northern Ireland shirt under his team’s shirt and watch the difference…

  • Can’t say I’m too surprised to be honest! Now they’ve got Cisse aswell he’s gonna struggle to get into that team

  • Cisse is a good signing for Sunderland, if he stays fit of course. I reckon Sunderland are going to do very well this season. Healy is old news, he’s a bench player in the premier league whichever club he goes to other than the newly promoted ones

  • Shame he can’t make it in the prem. He has such a fantastic finish, not much else though so £2million for him was a great deal

  • ino the lad s famous n prolific for scoring for his own country but at the end of the day he somehow found it more difficult to score at club level so it s better to move on. also he s not any younger n it s not a gd idea for us to loan him out. sh’d be a gd deal done for us anyway

  • Healy doesn have enough pace 4 the prem so i don evn want him in r team, im frm N.I an i dont no how he scors so many
