Former player`s returning to old stamping ground is always a cause for concern.

The history books are littered with those who were once worshipped coming back to wreak havoc on their former employers and this Saturday one player who had a degree of success in a Fulham shirt, but never quite blazed a trail, David Healy, will be back on the scene.

Healy, whose scoring record for Northern Ireland is phenomenal, struggled at Craven Cottage, particularly once Brian McBride had succumbed to that awful injury.

A change of scenery was always going to be on the cards and the fact he ended up at Sunderland shows just how highly regarded he is, in some quarters.

So, it`s no surprise that, on the eve of our clash, Healy is looking forward to returning to familiar surroundings and showing an eagerness to play, remarking,

“I am desperate to play in all the games, in any game, in fact!”

“It is like everyone says, games against your old clubs are always special.”

“You go there, you get stick and some booing, but very often you end up scoring!”

“It will be interesting, and I will look forward to seeing some of my old friends.”

David, a word of advice my son, if they are your friends I`d suggest it wouldn`t be wise to go around upsetting them by scoring now would it!
