If anyone fancies boosting our often criticised away support, here are a few directional tips.

For those travelling by road,

From A1(M) – Leave the A1(M) at Junction 62 and join the A690 heading towards Sunderland. At the junction of the A690 with the A19 turn left to join the A19 heading north towards the Tyne Tunnel. After crossing the River Wear turn right onto the A1231 towards Sunderland. After approximately 3 miles the Stadium of Light will be visible on your right.

For those trusting the integrity of the railway network – The Stadium of Light is about a fifteen minute walk from Sunderland station going over the Wearmouth Bridge. The nearest metro station on the Tyne-Wear Metro is St Peters Metro, a five minute walk from the ground.
