Fulham boss Chris Coleman has indicated that he is definatly going to spend some of Al – Fayed’s dosh, to add to Fulham`s squad when the January transfer window opens, at the beginning of the new year.

The Whites have suffered lot’s of injuries so far this season and the Manager has frequently been faced with tough selection decisions.

The midfield has had the brunt of the injury problems with Jimmy Bullard, Papa Bouba Diop, Simon Elliott, Mark Pembridge, Michael Brown, Claus Jensen, Luis Boa Morte and Ahmad Elrich all having reported to the treatment table at various stages this season.

Last Saturday`s defeat to Reading also saw Carlos Bocanegra and Franck Queudrue pick up knocks and they will both be a woory for the Arsenal game.

“We`ve lost Carlos (Bocanegra) and Franck (Queudrue),” said Coleman after Saturday`s game. “Micheal (Brown) and Papa (Bouba Diop) are probably 60-70% fit but we haven`t got a choice really. We`re going to have to do a bit of work in January – even if we had everybody fit and were still in the top ten, we`d have gone in (to the transfer market) anyway. But we`ve got no choice now, we have to.

“There are funds available, that`s the main thing. That`s been made clear to me, which is pleasing. We`ve been working hard on the scouting side and have been all over the world in the last six months. We`ve pretty much identified who we want but, as you know, getting them is difficult.”

Fulham have been linked with American Winger, Clint Dempsey (New England Revolution). Ex – Fulham hit – man Steve Marlet [Lorient (France)]. Ivory Coast Midfielder, Felix Ettien [Levante (Spain)]. And, Finnish, attacking midfielder Mika Vayarnen [PSV Eindhoven (Holland)]
