Yesterday, we reported on how Wolverhampton Wanders had signed our goalkeeper Andy Lonergan.

Today it is being reported, in the tabloid publication the Sun, that the Midlands club are after a second member of our squad.

The player on their radar is our striker Matt Smith.

Our source is reporting that Wolves have offered £750,000 for the 27-year-old six feet six inches tall striker.

Smith has found it hard to establish himself as a permanent member of the Craven Cottage starting eleven and managed a mere two goals for Fulham last season.

However, our source is suggesting that Fulham want at least £800,000 for the player.

Surely the small matter of £50,000 isn`t going to scupper this deal is it?
