Injuries, as we all know, can come at the most inopportune time.

Bobby Zamora, before suffering his injury against Wolverhampton Wanderers, was on the cusp of becoming a regular in Fabio Capello`s international squad.

His goals, last season, had pushed him to the forefront and us Fulham supporters had high hopes that we`d, regularly, see Bobby wearing the three lions shirt.

Unfortunately, that plan got de-railed.

Now that Bobby is back and has got back on the scoring trail, there is already talk of an England squad recall.

But Bobby is prepared to bid his time and has remarked to the red-top media,

“I think I`ve got a chance of getting back in the squad, but I have to be doing well for Fulham first.”

“So that`s my primary aim – getting fit and doing well for the club.”

Getting back to that opening sentence and the inopportune moment, it`s also worth remembering that since Bobby picked up his injury Andy Carroll has also joined the throng of forwards looking to get the nod from Fabio!
