It`s fantastic to have a current England international in the ranks.

Bobby Zamora done us proud in his forty-five minute debut and can look forward to some further international action in the near future.

After the game Bobby spoke to the media about his debut, remarking,

“I was slightly unlucky not to get a goal, the keeper pulled off a couple of great saves.”

“I was quite pleased with my debut though.”

“I want to stay in the squad now, definitely. But we have some great strikers and it will be very tough.”

“All I can do is score goals for Fulham. If I do that, hopefully, I`ll be included.”

And as for his preparation, Bobby reckoned the long Europa League run that saw us grace the final, in Hamburg, last May, helped, adding,

“I was chuffed to have played against a lot of good players in the Europa run that has given me some good experience.”

But what about nerves? Not our Bobby who further added,

“I didn`t feel nervous walking out at Wembley. I didn`t feel out of place, I`ve enjoyed training with the lads. It`s been a good couple of days.”

Let`s hope Bobby can get the first of those Fulham goals up at the Reebok Stadium this Saturday!
