The time must surely have come, especially with two weeks between games now the international break is here, to start with Bobby Zamora.
Now Bobby may not be fully match-fit but when he entered the fray, against Everton, it was noticeable how our game suddenly become more effective.
It`s a point that Mark Hughes picked up on when he commented to the media afterwards,
“You saw the difference he makes. He gives a focal point to the attack and a physical presence we have lacked up there.”
“He`s not at the level he was before the injury but he soon will be.”
Hughes further emphasized Zamora`s worth to the team by pointing out the following,
“We`ve drawn 14 games and with Bobby in the side if we`d have converted just some of those into wins, we would be top 10 or higher.”
Does anyone else agree that perhaps a better option would be to start with Bobby and see how long he can give us as opposed to bringing him on to rescue a situation?
