Fulham – Zamora Confidence Boost!

There seems to be a concerted effort to boost Bobby Zamora`s confidence.

The striker, signed from West Ham United last summer, has struggled to hit the target in recent weeks and there have been calls for Erik Nevland to be given a run out in the team.

But, as our away drought continues and we face a tricky trip to Swansea for a FA Cup 5th round tie this weekend, Zamora could be the man to ease us through into the sixth round, two games away from Wembley.

Whilst Zamora may not be scoring, his work-rate remains exceptional and it is appreciated by those around him.

Roy Hodgson has remarked,

“If you speak to AJ he will tell you how much he enjoys playing with Bob and takes away a lot of the physical stuff from him.”

Whilst the club captain, Danny Murphy has also commented,

“As far as we`re concerned, we think he`s a great lad to have in the team because firstly, his work ethic is tremendous and secondly he creates a lovely link from us midfield lads to AJ.”

All it needs, as we keep saying, is a goal or two and Zamora will feel a huge weight lifted off his shoulders.

Hopefully, Swansea will be the time and the place!
