It`s a rumour that refuses to die, a rumour that causes me concern every time I stumble across it.
Several tabloids are persisting wit the implication that Birmingham City are keen on Bobby Zamora, even though the initial suggestion was that his salary was outside of what they`re prepared to pay.
I hoped it was a rumour that would die a natural death but just like the ‘Zamora to Hull` ones of last summer, this one still gives me an uneasy feeling.
Perhaps I should seek comfort in the fact that Birmingham have others lined up to reinforce their attack, but viewing the names of Steven Fletcher (Burnley) and Kris Boyd (Glasgow Rangers) only fills me with further anxiety.
