Fulham Youngster Is A Record Breaker As He Gives Us All Food For Thought

|

Last night, down at the New Den, in South East London, we witnessed a piece of history being made.

With our Carabao Cup 3rd round tie, against Millwall, in the bag, Slavisa Jokanovic gave a debut to a young member of the squad, Harvey Elliott.

But Harvey isn’t just young, he became the youngest player to ever represent Fulham in a competitive game at the tender age of fifteen.

Still, at school, Harvey will be, no doubt, able to brag to his schoolmates about making history, even if his appearance was nothing more than a cameo one of five minutes.

Although Harvey had very little to do, he definitely looks to be one for the future with Slavisa Jokanovic quoted by the BBC, as having remarked about the youngster;

“He moved the ball with quality and showed some speed. We believe the future can be bright for him.

“He must be at school on Wednesday morning. He had some exams on Tuesday. He didn’t know he might play, I didn’t want to put him in any trouble. I gave him the opportunity to test himself at this level.”

It remains to be seen how Harvey progresses over the coming years, he could become a mainstay of the Fulham squad or he may not quite come up to scratch, but one thing is for certain, I doubt whether anyone will remove his name from the Fulham record books.

Congratulations Harvey from all at Vital Fulham.
