On Friday, here at Vital Fulham, we reported on how Tayo Edun, Click Here, had been given the opportunity to get some regular first-team football by going on loan to the Championship side, Ipswich Town.
Yesterday, wearing his allocated number 25 shirt Edun was, initially, on the bench as Ipswich Town started their 2018 / 2019 Championship campaign with a home fixture against Blackburn Rovers.
However, on the hour mark and with Ipswich trailing by 2-1, the 20-year-old was given the chance to show the Portman Road crowd what he could do.
Edun didn’t disappoint the Ipswich support and after producing some thrilling pieces of play the youngster wrote his name into Tractor Boy folklore when in stoppage time he produced a cross that deceived everyone and landed in the net, sparking jubilant scenes at Portman Road.
After the game the youngster was, naturally, the centre of attention and gave this interview on the Ipswich Town social media network:
