1st half.

A little shaky at the back, and I`m not sure who was supposed to be picking up Butters but he had a free head to knock it down to Robinson. Also unmarked.

Robinson was Albion`s best player, nice and tidy on their right hand side with good feet.

Was hoping to see Baird at CB, but it looks as though Sanchez likes him right back. If this is the case we need another CB IMO.

Davies, Davis and Clint the only real bright sparks for Fulham in the 1st. Healy hardly got a kick but then some of our through balls were just going (stevie) wayward, Diop a guilty party on more than one occasion. Healy did make some good runs around and behind their back four but our through balls were poor. A few long knocks forward from deep too which I didn`t like to see. McBride as trying as ever but ultimately had the same problem as Healy. Poor service. We couldn`t really string more than 3 passes together in the first half.

We really need a back up keeper. While Warner didn`t make any glaring errors he doesn`t really command his area and his kicking is poor – long knocks out to the wings for Rosenior and Timlin to win headers isn’t really smart.

2nd Half

Much better use of the ball, and we actually played some good stuff. Smertin orchestrated most of it and was very impressive. We had the better of them this half.

Rosenior and Volz were good in tandem down the right – Moritz in particular was very energetic and played some smart stuff.

Clint moved into the middle and, although helped the ball on at times, tended to go at the Brighton players with the ball and just got outnumbered. Much more productive on the left hand side in the first half, although you can tell that if he was playing in a 3 in the middle with 2 good passers behind him he could do some damage floating off the front man and in the hole.

FQ played left back and was solid. Zat was Zat, Carlos looked up for it with some crunching headers.

Timlin looked bright down the left although he could do with a yard extra pace, and a few of his crosses didn`t beat the first man.

I think Ehui looked a bit lost but don`t want to say that because it`s a bit hard on him. I think he had a swing and a miss at one point but cant quite remember.

Which leaves us with Kamara. VERY quick. Skilful. Drifts out to the left a bit which seemed to work quite well with Timlin cutting in. Could work well with Cook. Was impressed with his movement – sort of glides in between people and drags his marker(s) around. Nice touch on the ball. Lets not get too carried away though, Brighton looked tired toward the end and he was playing against Guy Butters. Felt a bit like he should be jostling in the box for corners and getting on the end of them (he is big enough) rather than trying to be Henry and take them.

Man of the match? 1st half from probably Simon Davies, 2nd Smertin or Volz.
