You can tell news is scarce, I`ve had to seriously think about how to generate some activity on the site today, a day devoid of Premier League football.

So, as a stab in the dark I thought I`d look at starting an occasional series whereby we delve into the knowledge available out there to find out where some of our players are that didn`t quite cut the mustard at Craven Cottage are now.

The first of these is Björn Sandro Runström

Runström joined Fulham with a reputation as a goal scorer, he was signed from Hammardby after scoring 18 goals in 57 matches, almost a goal every three games.

At twenty-two years of age, Fulham were prepared to pay £700,000 for his services in July 2006, but it wasn`t to prove to be money well spent. By January 2007 he`d been loaned out to Luton Town for a three month spell.

Returning to Craven Cottage, in April 2007, he was soon off on his travels again joining Kaiserslauten in July.

Returning in May 2008 he was released by Fulham having made only 1 league appearance.

Nowadays he can be found playing for the Danish side, OB.

His signing just goes to show the risk of signing somebody with potential but no top-class experience.
