The third round of the FA Cup is the one round most clubs look forward to.

Especially the teams from outside the top two divisions. To be drawn against a Premier League team, at home, is what many wish for.

So let`s take a look at our opponents, Sheffield Wednesday.

The Yorkshire side play at Hillsborough, one of the largest grounds in the country, a ground that rocks when more than half full so what better idea than to drop prices dramatically to attract more spectators for our FA Cup game?

I mean we`re not exactly the biggest of draws are we?

Sadly, prices have been reduced, with adult admission being £15 and children £5.

So why the sadly?

Well Sheffield Wednesday wanted to charge adults £10 but Fulham rebuked the idea hence the title – what light will it show us in?

  • I personally think it stinks …
I mean while there will be a decent-ish crowd there what real difference will that extra fiver make to wednesday or the share in it fulham will get .. i mean fulham get neigh on 50mil a year just from being in the prem, would an extra few 10,000’s reli make any difference.Plus the attendence is bound to be lower at £15 than it would have been at £10, so does anyone actually benefit?

  • It’s a poor decision by Fulham to insist on £15, your right tommyg the extra that Fulham will get is paltry. Better to get more in the ground.

  • the sad thing is I can’t see us taking more than 1000 so the difference is a total of £5000, paltry in Premier League terms!
