With the future of Brede Hangeland still up in the air, despite Roy Hodgson vowing to fight tooth and nail to keep him, rumours persist that we`re looking to source a replacement.
One name that cropped up a couple of weeks ago was that of the Middlesbrough centre back, Robert Huth.
The German international is, we`re told; keen to return to the Premier League after Middlesbrough`s drop through the relegation trap door last May.
But, as is proving to be the case with every player we`re currently being linked with, the ‘Daily Grapevine` has thrown another possible destination for the player into the hat, Aston Villa.
It`s thought that Martin O`Neill, following the loss of the influential Martin Laursen, is keen to recruit the towering German to bolster his back line.
It`ll be interesting to see where this one ends up!
