Fulham resume their Premier League programme with a home fixture against Newcastle United this Wednesday evening. After the euphoria of that four goal win over Spurs, can we produce something similar?

Vital Quotes:

Mark Hughes had every reason to be buoyant after the wonderful spanking of Spurs on Sunday. Ahead of the fixture tonight he`s quoted as commenting,

“We lacked a cutting edge earlier this season and that was hurting us, but now we are getting the players back we are turning that around.”

Just watch us go when Bobby Zamora returns to partner AJ!

Fulham Team News:

Mark Hughes, having bolstered his squad with the transfer window signings of Gael Kakuta and Eidur Gujohnsen may give one of the other a debut against Newcastle. However we suspect both will be on the bench.

Sidwell looks set to deputise for the injured Etuhu whilst although Mark Schwarzer is back from the Asia Cup, he`ll be given time to rest.

On the sidelines though remain Briggs, Zamora and Senderos.

Player to watch: Moussa Dembele

Loved that goal against Spurs Moussa, how about another one!

Newcastle Team News:

Alan Pardew brings his squad to our cosy little part of London with several notable absentees in his squad.

Out injured are Ben Arfa, Dan Gosling, Alan Smith, Ryan Taylor and Stephen Taylor whilst Tiote is rated as doubtful.

There is off course the small matter of Andy Carrol having left for Liverpool!

Player to watch: Kevin Nolan

Appears to be thriving in a black and white striped shirt since returning to the Premier League.

Match Facts & Stats

The record books show that meetings between the two clubs, on an overall status, are very close. Fulham are slightly ahead of Newcastle with 25 wins to Newcastle`s 24 with 13 ending all square.

The reciprocating fixture, at St James Park, ended 0-0.

Ref Watch:

The officials nominated for the fixture on Wednesday evening are – Mike Jones (referee), Dave Bryan and Andy Newbold (assistants) and Lee Probert (fourth official)

Match Prediction:

Having lost Andy Carroll, Newcastle will be looking to put on a show, just to prove there is life after the striker. Fulham are on a high after that electrifying thrashing of Spurs in the FA Cup, on Sunday. I`m edging towards a home win, 2-0 for me!

Next Fixtures:

It`s a trip to Aston Villa for us next weekend.
