The third round of the Capital One Cup is upon us and Fulham face a tricky home tie against Everton.

Everton are the only unbeaten team in the Premier League, although it should be pointed out that they`ve drawn far more than they`ve won

But Roberto Martinez side will be a tough test and Fulham will need to be at their best to get a result, even more so after our recent run of poor form.

Discussing how important it is to get a win, Martin Jol has remarked to the press,

‘We need a win.”

‘It’s good for the spirit of the team if we get back to winning games.”

‘We played three away matches in the first five in the league. That wasn’t easy.’

It might not have been but with us not having won for six games the pressure on Jol is mounting.

However, Fulham could be boosted by the return of three squad members in the form of Dimitar Berbatov, Aaron Hughes and Bryan Ruiz, all of whom missed the defeat at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Unfortunately, Matthew Briggs and Maarten Stekelenburg are likely to be unavailable with the former out with a hernia problem and the latter a shoulder injury.

Could tomorrow see Fulham march a step closer to Wembley or will it be another disappointing night?
