We`ve awoke this morning to the idea being peddled by The Sun that Fulham are about to embark on a double transfer on the strikers front.

Once again the names of Bobby Zamora and Peter Crouch appear in the frame.

According to the referenced tabloid, Fulham are prepared to sell Bobby Zamora to Hull City for a fee of £6 million. This cash injection will then be used to finance a deal for the twenty-eight year old Portsmouth striker who has expressed a desire to get away from the chaos at Fratton Park.

The paper also mentions that the new Pompey owner, Sulaiman Al-Fahim, will endeavour to persuade Crouch to stay but the likelihood is that the striker, signed from Liverpool, will be moving to either Fulham or Sunderland with Roy Hodgson, reportedly, hoping a London base will appear to the gangly striker.
