Fulham – Treated With Disrespect!

I am sitting in my front room watching Sky Sports News and I am pretty much ready to throw my laptop at it.

I am angry on so many fronts regarding Brede Hangeland:

– The report regarding his future is just plain rude to our football club. Such phrases like ‘If you had to stay at Fulham for another year, would you?’ treat the club as some small, amateur club where he is not being allowed to play. We are a European club! He is one of our star players!

– The FA also have not stepped in due to comments by a certain manager of Arsenal. I thought that the rules regarding transfers were that a manager cannot talk about a player until a fee has been agreed? Wenger admitted his interest despite no bid. It seems to me that he is trying to force a lower fee which again treats us with disrespect.

My biggest fear is not that Hangeland will leave as Schwarzer and Hughes were perhaps more impressive than Hangeland last season, it is that he will leave on deadline day leaving us with barely anyone to fill in.

Worrying times lie ahead.
