Marko Pantelic has confirmed that he will be leaving Hertha Berlin this summer and it is rumored that Fulham are leading the race to sign the Serbian international.

Previous reports in February of this year suggested that Pantelic was already talking terms with the Cottagers; a claim that, at the time, Pantelic denied. The striker`s agent, Vlado Borozan, was quoted by Calcio Mercato as saying, “?he has already said that he wants to leave the club in July.”

‘He has already made up his mind, but I cannot say where he will be playing his football next season. He won’t move to Italy.’

The 30-year-old has been a productive striker for the Bundesliga outfit since signing in 2005 (initially on loan, but made permanent in 2006) netting 45 goals in 114 appearances. After refusing to sign a new contract, he found himself out of favor with the German club and his playing opportunities reduced.

It`s difficult to predict how Pantelic would perform in the Premier League, but he`s exactly the type of player we need to compete in the Europa League, and as he`s a free transfer, I believe this would be a good signing.
