Fulham – To Err or Not To Err?

As one of only two players, the other being John Pantsil, who were in the starting eleven and who also turned out against Stoke in midweek, it was uncharacteristic for Mark Schwarzer to make an error.

The Australian keeper has been one of our more consistent performers over the last two years but, as we all know, errors are part and parcel of the game.

Being a keeper though, you`re cut from different silk and being a proud bunch, it`s probably inevitable that Mark was reluctant to take any blame for his gaff, as (Sir) Roy explains,

“Schwarzer is blaming the pitch, saying it took a bobble, but nobody believes him!”

“Mark made a very uncharacteristic error – but I am pleased he has got it out of his system.”

Exactly, the Nordbank Arena is not the place for anyone to commit an error / mistake. If Atletico Madrid are to be beaten it`ll need to be one of those nights where everyone is on top of their game.
