Fulham to complete double swoop?

Wayne Routledge is set to leave Tottenham Hotspur reports Sky Sports News today. Routledge was on loan to Fulham last term, albeit not impressing many Cottagers who complained about his tendency to go missing in matches, loses the ball easily and doesn’t track back with his man but I was one of the few that thought Routledge did well in his season long loan at Fulham, considering that he only had a short run of playing a full match which was over Christmas and he really impressed me, at least.

Then Coleman dropped Routledge even though he was one of our best players during Christmas and in doing so probably destroyed the young wingers confidence. The attributes of Wayne will always cause problems for any defence with his pace vital in making him a very promising player. I know if the situation was different regarding Fulham`s position in the league then Sanchez would have definitely given the tricky winger a lot more playing time so maybe the prospect of playing under new management at Fulham and having more playing time will appeal to Routledge as he contemplates what to do next in his very bright future.

Another player that Fulham have been heavily linked with is Steven Davis and with the imminent arrival of ex-West Ham United captain, Nigel Reo-Coker to Aston Villa this more or less signals the end of Davis Villas career. Davis is a nifty player and would do well next to the fans favourite Jimmy Bullard, but will Sanchez stump up half of his reported £10,000,000 transfer budget? This remains to be seen but if he does Vital Footballs Fulham reporters will be the first to let ye know.
