Friendly fixtures, what do you make of them?

Personally, if we win I`m all for them, but if we lose then I just trot out the ‘it`s only a friendly` mantra.

But what do you make of behind-closed-doors friendly fixtures?

Well much the same I`d suggest, even though the only knowledge you have of what went on is what you read in the media written by those privileged to have witnessed the action.

Therefore, I`m pleased to report that in a behind-closed-doors fixture Fulham played against Preston North End, at the Fota Island Resort in Ireland, Fulham came out on top.

But they didn`t just come out on top Slavisa Jokanovic`s outfit thrashed Preston North End 5-0!

In what seems to be a one-sided game, Fulham cruised to victory courtesy of a brace of goals each from Cauley Woodrow and Mat Smith, plus a strike from our recent signing Sone Aluko.

Hopefully the result will auger well for the future but I wouldn`t bank on it!
