Fulham – Those That Got Away – Marlon King!

Does anyone remember the outcry that erupted when the rumours implied that, some time ago we were after the Watford striker Marlon King?

I doubt whether I`ve ever seen a potential signing lambasted in the way King was.

Fortunately, King never arrived at Craven Cottage, instead he opted for Wigan Athletic amidst several column inches of guff.

Well, life wasn`t what it was expected to be up at Wigan and King struggled to get into the first team on a regular basis.

It now looks like that King, if he can agree salary terms, will be moving on to newly promoted Hull City.

Definitely one that got away that we`re not too bothered about!
