Down across the river and deep in South London where a certain Charlton Athletic play in a place designated as the Valley, the grapevine suggests that a certain Lawrie Sanchez is interested in taking over from Alan Pardew, who was made to walk the plank on Saturday evening after a savage beating at the hands of the Blades.
Sanchez, who we all have far from fond memories of, has commented,
“I`ve had almost a year out now and as much as I enjoy media work, I am a manager – that is what I do.”
