Some players are just destined to never quite living up to expectations!
In what must seem like a week where we`re concentrating on former players, after our Brian McBride article, we`ve noticed that the tabloid press is reporting that another of our ex-players, David Healy, could be on the move.
Healy, currently at Sunderland, is struggling to get first team opportunities (the story of his career at club level) and is looking to drop into the Championship to get regular first team football.
Sunderland, having recently signed Asomoah Gyan for a huge fee and having also taken the Manchester United youngster, Danny Welbeck, on a season long loan, deem Healy as surplus to requirements and when the loan window opens, he could well be on the move.
Although a legend when it comes to scoring for his native Northern Ireland, Healy`s career, as we well know, has never really hit the heights at club level. Is it too late to rectify now? Your verdict, on what has been another quiet news day, would be appreciated.
