With much of our attention being focussed on possibly splashing a huge amount of cash on Peter Crouch, the Daily Mirror has come up with a stunning exclusive this morning.

The tabloid is implying that Fulham are prepared to make a major bid, somewhere in the region of £9 million, to secure the services of the giant Hull City centre half, Michael Turner.

Apparently, Roy Hodgson has decided to use any money Fulham receive for Bobby Zamora as part of the deal and is keen to bring the highly rated defender to Craven Cottage.

Phil Brown, the Hull City manager is aware of the interest in his player and the Mirror reports that the sheer size of the offer could tempt him to part with his player with Brown quoted, by the tabloid, as saying,

“I`ve had three Premier League managers inquire about Michael but I have a valuation of him based on the current transfer market.”

“If someone decides to come in and reaches that price tag, then there`s a possibility we may lose him.”

I`ve got to say that this one has caught us all by surprise, all that remains is to monitor any progress!
