With it being reported yesterday that Martin Jol had flown to Jacksonville, from Costa Rica, to meet our new owner, Shahid Khan, it is being touted around today that a transfer target has been identified.
The tabloid press are adamant that Jol is set to meet the asking price (£5 million) that Aston Villa are asking for their out-of-favour former England striker Darren Bent.
Bent and Jol have previously worked together, whilst both were at Tottenham and Jol believes that Bent is the man to lead the Fulham attack ad play in front of the hugely talented Dimitar Berbatov.
