Fulham Supporters to go Green?

It`s not very often that our sport is associated with something we`re about to advertise!

Football is often seen as the unacceptable face of sport, a working class throng wreaking havoc on a Saturday. Thankfully things have changed in recent years.

Therefore, it makes a change for us to be able to bring to you an initiative that could benefit our planet.

Please read on,

Dear All

With increasing concern about the carbon footprint of both individuals and organizations, I would like to introduce our new webpage, www.footballcarshare.com, which can dramatically help the club reduce its carbon emissions and help supporters offset the CO2 emissions produced.

Our innovative website introduces individuals travelling in the same direction at the same times and often by the same mode of transport. As part of the UK’s largest car-share network, liftshare.com, footballcarshare members join the network of over 185,000 members nationwide who currently contribute to a saving of over 13,000 tonnes of CO2 annually and sharing a distance of over 42 million miles per year!

A car with two occupants is twice as efficient as the same car with a single occupant, cutting CO2 emissions and slashing your travel costs in half!
Needless to say that as car with three people in it will reduce your costs even further. Your petrol cost for a car with four occupants would equate to just 24 pence a litre!

With thousands attending matches on a regular basis, often traveling from the same direction, it is clear that this site would be extremely beneficial to the club and its supporters saving money, time, congestion, the hassle of finding a parking space and dramatically reduce the carbon footprint for themselves and the club.

Initially, it would be great if we could add reciprocal links to our sites to inform supporters of the service?

It would be great if we could work together to promote lift-sharing and the clubs efforts to reduce their carbon footprint raising further awareness of how supporters and clubs can and easily help protect the environment.

Please let me know your thoughts,

Warm regards

Angi Davies
