It was a deal we all hoped would happen and yesterday afternoon having successfully undergone a medical the club announced that Aleksandar Mitrovic had, officially, become a Fulham player.
The deal being confirmed, via Twitter, by Tony Khan:
I’m delighted to announce that Aleksandar Mitrovic is back where he belongs at @FulhamFC! We’ve reached an agreement to bring Mitro home! We’ve always wanted him on a permanent; I told him that after the final at Wembley, & I’m thrilled to make it official today. Come on Fulham! pic.twitter.com/7Hx4nPWWq5

The 23-year-old Serbian international, who played such a prominent part in our promotion campaign last season, has put pen-to-paper on a 5-year deal which ties him to Craven Cottage until 2023.
The fee is reported as being £22 million, higher than we all thought was originally offered.
The player, naturally, is delighted to be at Fulham on a permanent basis and is quoted by the BBC, as remarking about the deal,
“I’m happy to the moon and back.
“I’m very glad and happy and proud to finally be here and officially become a Fulham player. I have love for the fans. They’re amazing fans and I have a really good connection with them.
“This is a big club and last year we made history.
“We want to keep making big things – and with all the fans behind us I think we can go far.”
Let’s hope we can.
But scouring the social media networks, it’s clear that the deal has been universally welcomed by the Fulham faithful:
It’s every Christmas has come at once! This season will be very exciting to say the least. Has to be close to best window ever?

Indeed, we couldn’t find a comment, anywhere, criticising the deal, now that has to be a rarity.
Here at Vital Fulham, we’d like to officially welcome Aleksandar Mitrovic back to the club, this time for good.
