When the Fulham hierarchy decided that Slavisa Jokanovic had to be axed, it was hoped that the appointment of Claudio Ranieri would see the clubs’ fortunes turnaround.
However, despite a win in his opening fixture, results have been pretty much the same.
Today, losing in the FA Cup 3rd round to Oldham Athletic, a team that plays in League Two, was a new low.
The social media networks are an ideal place to gauge the supporters’ feelings and the honeymoon period for Ranieri certainly appears to be over, as the following posts illustrate:
we’re all going on a championship tour, dilly ding, dilly dong

A dreadful appointment this manager is proving to be.

It doesn’t auger well for the future and already the decision to axe Jokanovic is being questioned:
Should never of let slavisa go.

Pathetic! Bring @Jokanovic back

Whilst others, aware of the dilemma the club now faces, are calling for a managerial change:
Claudio the ???? get him out! Club is a mess from the owners down to him!

Get big Sam in before it’s to late

Now, we’re not sure that Ranieri’s position is in doubt, but he certainly needs to start getting a result or two otherwise the appointment of a third manager, this season, may well be on the cards.
