Mark Hughes took over the managerial post, at Craven Cottage, last summer, without really having enough time to use the transfer window to shape the squad in his own manner.
Although Hughes had the January transfer window to slightly manipulate matters, there`s a theory that buying in January is tantamount to panic buying.
Therefore, this summer gives Roy the ideal time to shape the squad and guide us into next season with a squad that he believes will allow him to express his managerial strengths.
To this extent the local newspapers are already predicting that Hughes will off load four, but most probably six, of his current first team squad this summer, with the names in the frame being – John Pantsil, Zoltan Gera, Eddie Johnson, Diomansy Kamara, Bjorne Helge Riise and Kagisho Dikgaco.
