I thought Stuart Atwell had a decent game!
I know he`s been slagged off by many but I thought he handled the spat between Pantsil and the Stoke player sensibly.
Sadly, the handball situation mentioned by Roy Hodgson in his post match interview isn`t something I can comment on as I`d nipped out to get something hot to drink.
Nevertheless , Roy had this to say about the incident,
‘There’s no doubt that it was a handball, but it’s whether or not the referee adjudges it to be accidental or not.’
‘It’s quite amazing when you see some of the handballs that are given these days and when as clear a handball as that is not given it does make you wonder.”
‘We feel a bit aggrieved about that but to be honest we did enough during the ninety minutes in free-play to win the game, we should have had the game wrapped up even without the referee awarding that penalty.’
So, what`s the general consensus of opinion?
Was it a penalty?
Do these things even themselves out over the course of the season?
