Martin Jol continued his squad restructuring yesterday by signing a young midfielder.

Fulham, it is reported, paid £700,000 for Marcel Gecov

Gecov, who appeared for the Czech U21 side in the recent European Championships, was signed from Slovan Liberic on a two year deal with Jol giving him the following commendation,

“He`s talented.”

“He had a very good tournament and was very decisive in games.”

Will he be a first team contender right away or will he, at first, just give our squad greater depth?

I guess we`ll soon find out!

  • Never heard of him, but I hope he’s ready for the PL. We’re making a good effort bringing in the youth, but I’d like to see some younger players WITH PL experience brought in, as well.

  • asking for the moon are we? just kidding… here’s hoping he can cut it an help out with the europa league qualifying…
