It has been confirmed that Fulham Football Club has secured the services of a defender.

With Tomas Kalas having returned to Chelsea after his loan period expired, Fulham have moved to secure the services of Marcelo Djalo.

Djalo has signed for Fulham on a three-year deal which includes a 12-month option, from the Spanish second-tier side Club Deportivo Lugo.

The fee for the 23-year-old has been announced as undisclosed.

Previously, Djalo was on the books of Real Madrid as a youth player before moving to Juventus in 2014.

His time at Juventus was sketchy with the player being loaned out on three occasions and never actually making a first-team appearance for the Turin based club.

Talking about moving to West London, Djalo is quoted as having remarked to the media,

‘The truth is, for me it is a proud moment. It’s a big club, an emblem of the city.”

Welcome to Craven Cottage Marcelo Djalo, may your time with Fulham be both enjoyable and successful
