Earlier this week we covered the speculation that suggested that Fulham were set to add a Greek midfielder to the squad.

Yesterday (Thursday), confirmation was forthcoming that the deal had been completed.

Fulham have made their first signing of the January transfer window by bringing in Thanos Petsos on loan for the remainder of this season.

Petsos joins Fulham from the Bundesliga side, Werder Bremen, for whom he has made three appearances since signing a three-year deal with the Bundesliga side last summer.

The twenty-five year-old Greek international has, during his career, played for Bayer Leverkusen, Kaiserslautern, Greuther Furth and Rapid Vienna.

Fulham fans may get their first view of the midfielder in the 4th round FA Cup tie, against Hull City, this weekend.
