Last week the grapevine suggested that Fulham Football Club were very interested in taking the Everton defender, Luke Garbutt, on loan.

Today it has been announced by the official site that such a deal has been done.

Garbutt, just 22-years of age, has signed on for a season on loan at Craven Cottage as reported on the Official Site.

Having made just 8 appearances for Everton, a season at Fulham is just the ticket as far as getting regular first-team football.

Garbutt has been capped by England at numerous levels including youth and in every age-group from U16 through to U21.

This summer he was part of the U21 party chosen by Gareth Southgate for the Euro 2015 tournament in the Czech Republic.

Speaking about the move, albeit on loan, to Craven Cottage, Garbutt has remarked,

‘Fulham have shown their faith and trust in me.

“The main objective is to get promoted this season.’

Exactly the thoughts we harbour.

Welcome to Craven Cottage Luke, here`s hoping you thoroughly enjoy the experience.
