Rumours were doing the rounds that Fulham were on the verge of bringing another goalkeeper to Craven Cottage.

That has proven to be the exact case with it being announced that the Cottagers have signed the experienced Brentford keeper David Button.

Button, 27-years-old, has joined Fulham from their West London Championship rivals for an undisclosed fee and has signed a three-year deal with the option of another year.

During his time at Griffin Park Button made 141 appearances and with their being some anger from the Bees supporters about the transfer, Brentford`s co-director of football Phil Giles has done his best to placate them by remarking,

‘I understand if there are some fans who will be disappointed we have sold a player to our local rivals.

‘However, I’m confident that we’ve made a decision that is in the best long term interests of the club.’

Button becomes Fulham`s seventh summer signing, welcome to Craven Cottage David Button.
