Fulham Set To Lose Star Player In Summer Re-Vamp

|

With relegation, to be bluntly honest, imminent, this summer could see the Fulham squad undergo a major revamp.

After securing promotion, the decision was made to spend a huge amount of money, in excess of £100 million, to prepare the squad for life in the Premier League.

As it turned out, it appears the majority of that cash was wasted.

As a result of the huge influx of players, one player who was expected to make a huge impact in the Premier League, after starring in the Championship, was our teenage left-sided player, Ryan Sessegnon.

But, for one reason or another, Ryan hasn’t had the kind of season we expected, often not making the starting eleven after Claudio Ranieri had taken over from Slavisa Jokanovic.

When rumours were rife that, when Fulham were in the Championship, Ryan was the transfer target of several Premier League clubs, a fee of £100 million was often mentioned.

Today, according to the news source, the Mirror, that price could now possibly be halved.

Our quoted source is inferring that Tottenham Hotspur are looking at acquiring the talented teenager and are looking at offering Fulham a £50 million bounty.

With regards to the possible fee being halved, we can only put it down to the fact that Ryan has still to put pen-to-paper and that his indifferent form, in the Premier League, has seen his value drop.

But when it comes to a personal view, I have to admit I’d be extremely surprised if Ryan was still with us cometh the start of next season.
